General Manager @ Wasted Grain in Old Town Scottsdale

Playful yet sophisticated and located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, Wasted Grain is a massive, open-air bar and eatery. Our guests can enjoy brunch, happy hour, sporting events, and a diverse range of entertainment, from live music to cutting edge DJs. Our inviting, and vibrant patio plays host to many activities and games bags, giant Jenga, life-size Connect Four, and much more!


The newly remodeled Wasted Grain is looking for an experience, responsible, and dependable General Manager to join their team!


We are located at 7295 E Stetson Drive, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.



Must be a confident and proven leader. Must be a great communicator with the ability to communicate in English, as well as oral and written communication skills. Work well under pressure and time deadlines. Must present well to others in a positive and professional manner both internally and externally. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid Food Worker Card (required) Obtain any necessary alcohol service licensing requirements. Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in a fast pace environment. Must have a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize quickly and efficiently.


-Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team

-Ensures excellent guest service that meets or exceeds expectations

-Ensures that the restaurant is adequately staffed to meet guest needs

-Maintain food and equipment inventories, and keep inventory records

-Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity

-Operating the business in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws

-Will directly impact interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

-Manage all shifts, which include daily decision-making, staff support, scheduling and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness

-Maximizing table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour

-Enforcing safe work behaviors to maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff

-Monitor daily activities to ensure quality food and cleanliness standards

-Knowledge of understanding P&L and sales building

-Meet the restaurant's P&L, and expense goals

-Promoting suggestive selling techniques

-Maintaining professional behavior while creating a warm, fun, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere.



-Salary, exempt position
